Following the success of its first Next Gen program, Hunter Street Hospitality is opening applications for its next intake.
Starting 9 November 2026, Next Gen @ Hunter Street Hospitality is a 6-month, full-time paid traineeship. You’ll gain hands-on experience in leading Sydney venues while completing a Certificate III in Hospitality, specialising in Bar and Beverage.

It is a 6-month, full-time paid traineeship starting 9 November 2026. You’ll earn an income while completing a Certificate III in Hospitality, specialising in Bar and Beverage, along with your RSA.

No. The program is designed for people starting their careers, with training, mentoring and support provided throughout.

Hunter Street Hospitality operates more than 40 venues nationwide, including several across Sydney. You’ll be based at one participating Sydney venue for the duration of the program.

You’ll work 38 hours per week across five days, with shifts scheduled between 10am and 10pm.

You’ll need to be available Tuesday to Saturday for shifts between 10am and 10pm, including evenings and Saturday nights. You won’t work all of these hours, but your 38-hour roster may be scheduled across this availability.

You’ll be employed full-time and paid for every hour you work. Your pay and any applicable penalty rates will be based on the relevant hospitality award.

You’ll learn on the job, attend one formal training day each month and complete your Certificate III in Hospitality during the program.

After completing the program, there may be opportunities to continue working with Hunter Street Hospitality and progress into further training or leadership pathways.

The communication, teamwork, customer service and time-management skills you develop are valuable across many industries and can also support you if you choose to study later.
