How to beat the morning rush!

What are 3 key tips for being less stressed in the morning? Find out here

What is the morning rush?

Whether you are getting ready for school or trying to get to an early shift at work, the morning rush can be hectic. Here are some tips to help you beat the stress and anxiety of getting out the door.

Use the +20 rule

If you think it will take 1 hour to get up, shower, eat, get dressed and out the door. Set your alarm for 20 minutes extra. That extra time takes away the stress and doesn't have you rushing around stressing everyone else out.

Don’t skip breakfast

It's so easy to just get ready and go but eating breakfast is key to lasting the day. Even if it's a banana as you are running out the door, it's better than nothing. Not eating can make you hangry and everything feels more stressful as your brain is running without any fuel.

Be prepared

If you struggle to decide what to wear or what to have for breakfast, prep it the night before and give your brain a break.

Overnight oats are a great option for a grab-and-go brekky, and having your clothes picked and ready to just put on makes the mornings run much smoother.

It will make the start of your day cruiser if you can start to implement these things. Even starting with one at a time and slowly bringing them all in, you will start to notice a difference quickly.
